Design and fabrication of 15,000 square feet of exhibits spanning a period of time from the state’s frontier days to the present on a strict timeline. Engaging, hands-on exhibits with memorable audio/visual moments weave Mississippi’s colorful history with the history of the Old Capitol building itself. Visitors have the opportunity to weigh the pros and cons of various sites for Mississippi’s first state capitol, learn about Greek Revival architecture, and explore the numerous period rooms that come to life with stories of the Old Capitol at the center of Mississippi politics. In addition to the numerous exhibits, Formations also developed and created graphic brochures that act as tour guides for museum visitors.
