Wabash County Historical Museum
Wabash, IN
Phases I and II Now Open
The exhibit design team has created a space where visitors are immersed in the natural and social history of Wabash County, Indiana from Ice Age glaciation to present times. World, national, and local events are reflected in vivid relief as visitors experience the lives of French fur traders, local farmers, citizens called to serve their country, and homegrown celebrities.
Exhibits place the visitor inside the story, as they explore the cabin of a canal boat, practice Morse code in a train station, and take a scenic tour of the countyśriding on a scooter!
Almost 4,000 visitors from the community turned out for a full day of activities and Grand Opening events on September 16, 2006.
