Glaciers carve deep ravines down the mountainside, dramatic floods reshape the landscape, and flowers briefly bloom in the harsh tundra climate on Mt. Rainier. Site-specific signage for the park interprets the park’s resources and educates visitors about the area’s trails and safety issues. Sixty graphic panels explore the sensitive wilderness ecosystems’ plant and animal life and dynamic geological features, and Mt. Rainier’s century-long history as a National Park. Visitors will be inspired to protect and preserve the park for future generations.
