The nation’s foremost example of Greek Revival architecture, the Old Capitol building in Jackson, Mississippi, has been an integral part of Mississippi’s history for over 160 years. Now, that history is being brought to life in exhibits designed and fabricated by Formations. Spanning a period of time from the state’s frontier days to the present, exhibits will take visitors on a journey that weaves Mississippi’s colorful history with the history of the Old Capitol building itself. Visitors will have the opportunity to weigh the pros and cons of various sites for Mississippi’s first state capital, learn about Greek Revival architecture, and explore numerous period rooms that come to life with great stories about the Old Capitol as the center of Mississippi politics.
